Delivery & Installation Policy

1. Introduction

This Delivery & Installation Policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities relating to the delivery and installation of products supplied by Titan International.

By placing an order with Titan International, customers acknowledge and accept the terms set out in this policy.

2. Delivery Areas

Titan International provides delivery services throughout Malta and Gozo.

Certain locations or special access requirements may incur additional charges.

Customers will be informed of any applicable charges before delivery is arranged.

3. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery dates are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery times may be affected by:

  • Product availability;
  • Supplier lead times;
  • Transport disruptions;
  • Weather conditions;
  • Seasonal demand;
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Titan International shall not be liable for losses arising from delivery delays.

4. Product Availability

Where products are temporarily unavailable, Titan International may:

  • Arrange delayed delivery;
  • Offer an alternative product;
  • Cancel the order and provide a refund.

5. Customer Responsibilities for Delivery

Customers must ensure that:

  • Correct delivery details are supplied;
  • Someone is available to accept delivery;
  • Safe and unobstructed access is available;
  • Any restrictions affecting access are communicated in advance.

Additional charges may apply where delivery cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond Titan International’s control.

6. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers should inspect all products immediately upon delivery.

Visible damage, shortages or incorrect items should be reported to Titan International within forty-eight (48) hours.

Failure to notify Titan International within this period may affect the handling of claims relating to transport damage.

7. Transfer of Risk

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery.

Ownership of products remains with Titan International until payment has been received in full.

8. Installation Services

Where installation services are purchased, Titan International will arrange an installation appointment subject to availability.

Installation dates are estimates only and may be changed due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Customer Responsibilities Prior to Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Adequate access is available;
  • Installation areas are safe and prepared;
  • Electrical supplies are available where required;
  • Existing systems are suitable for connection;
  • Necessary permits or approvals have been obtained.

Titan International shall not be responsible for delays caused by failure to satisfy these requirements.

10. Additional Works

Installation quotations are based on the information available at the time of assessment.

Where unforeseen conditions are discovered during installation, additional works may be required.

Such additional works may include:

  • Electrical upgrades;
  • Drainage modifications;
  • Structural works;
  • Additional pipe runs;
  • Relocation of existing equipment.

Additional charges will only be carried out following customer approval.

11. Existing Equipment

Titan International shall not be responsible for faults or defects in:

  • Existing pipework;
  • Existing electrical installations;
  • Existing drainage systems;
  • Equipment supplied by third parties.

Where defects are identified, customers may be advised of corrective measures before installation proceeds.

12. Marine Installations

Marine air conditioning installations may require specialist preparation and access.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The vessel is accessible;
  • Safe working conditions are available;
  • Power supplies are suitable;
  • Existing systems are compatible.

Titan International reserves the right to postpone installation where safe working conditions are not available.

13. Delays Beyond Our Control

Titan International shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Supplier shortages;
  • Shipping disruptions;
  • Adverse weather conditions;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Utility failures;
  • Force majeure events.

14. Cancellation of Installation Appointments

Customers should provide reasonable notice when cancelling scheduled installation appointments.

Titan International reserves the right to charge for unnecessary call-outs or missed appointments where installation personnel have already been dispatched.

15. Health and Safety

Titan International reserves the right to refuse or postpone delivery or installation where:

  • Working conditions are unsafe;
  • Access is restricted;
  • Health and safety requirements cannot be met.

16. Limitation of Liability

Titan International shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect losses;
  • Consequential losses;
  • Business interruption;
  • Loss of income;
  • Delays caused by third parties.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights available under applicable law.
